GAMES COUNSELOR

IT’S ALL FUN AND GAMES

OVERVIEW

Games Counselors at Skyland encourage good sportsmanship, friendly competition, and having a silly goofy time on the games court! They’re coaches and cheerleaders for campers of all ages, and they know above all else that playing games at camp is about having fun while building confidence and team skills.

Games Counselors teach volleyball, newcomb, and ring tennis for weekly all-camp competitions, and they are encouraged to come up with their own games to teach campers! Past favorites include quidditch, hula hoop hopscotch, ultimate frisbee, dinosaur scavenger hunt, and all-camp relay races.

During Girls Camp and Grown-Up Girls Camp, Games Counselors take the lead on T&T traditions (read more about T&T), including faciliating weekly competitions, tracking points, sorting new campers into their team, and leading Sorting Night activities.
