HOUSEKEEPING STAFF
KEEPING SKYLAND HILL BEAUTIFUL
OVERVIEW
Housekeeping staff know the importance of a clean and safe environment, and they are committed to maintaining positive spaces for campers to thrive. The Housekeeping staff has a significant and valuable impact on the Skyland community.
Hours are flexible and can vary week by week, depending on the programs running at camp. We are happy to discuss part-time to full-time hours and work within your schedule.
The overall responsibility of the Skyland Housekeeping staff is to help ensure a clean and safe environment for campers and staff. Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining clean camper and staff living spaces, including taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping floors.
- Maintaining clean dining spaces, including clearing and cleaning tables, and mopping floors.
- Assisting in the kitchen to clean pots, pans, trays, and dishes.
- Assisting with making beds, including bunk beds, for retreats and rentals.
- Assisting in bringing laundry to washing facilities and sorting laundry upon its return to camp.
- Helping to maintain the camp property and facilities.
- Maintaining a positive and supportive environment at Skyland.
